A one day course on pastel painting HOSTED BY ROCKHAMPTON MUSEUM OF ART -

This workshop is a fun and transformative exploration into painting with pastels. This one-day workshop will give you a firm grounding in the techniques for using pastels in a relaxed and inspiring environment.

All skill levels are welcome. Ages 18+.

Participants will learn pastel painting techniques to create a fresh, quick, loose, bold and expressive pastel painting.

Participants with limited experience will benefit from instruction and demonstration; participants with some prior experience will be encouraged to extend their skills and pursue particular interests. Several example topics will be offered by the tutor, though participants are invited to bring their own subject matter to work from instead.

Please bring the following materials:

• Pastels (any brand)

• Pastel paper (one or two sheets of pastel paper, black preferred)
